The aim of the OHLF Research Campus is the optional processing and reuse of products or single-type separation for material recycling. This can increase both the quality of recycled materials and their availability. The “SARESA” project aims to develop methodological and technological solutions for efficiently recovering components and materials from end-of-life products.
This is to be achieved through the use of disassembly techniques.
The goal is to achieve a sustainable increase in reuse rates as well as in the quality and
availability of recycled materials. EKS InTec's goal is, on the one hand, to integrate
conventional robot systems with CNC-based systems for the precise execution of recycling processes. On the other hand, adaptive virtual systems for disassembly are to be implemented.
The digital product and plant twins required for this are to be created on the basis of available standards
or, if necessary, extend these.
The SARESA project is funded by the BMFTR Federal ministry of research, technology and aerospace under the funding code 02P24Q910 and supervised by the Projektträger Karlsruhe (PTKA) at Karlsruher Institut für Technologie (KIT).
